6. Snap out the appropriate upstand on an Eaves Closure to match the hand. Slide it over the bottom corner of the tile as far as it will go. With the unit butting neatly with both the top and side edge of the tile, and with the nails provided, nail through two holes in the Eaves Closure into the end of the fascia board. 7. Position first the Right Hand Verge Unit over the open face of the Eaves Closure and slide it up following the direction of the verge until it locks into position. It is engaged correctly when the lug of the Eaves Closure protrudes through the end of the Verge Unit and no outward movement is possible at the bottom edge of the Verge Unit. Nail (using 50mm long large headed galvinsed nails) through an appropriate hole in the top of the Verge Unit so that the nail goes through the Batten End Clip in the end of the batten. 8. Take another verge tile and lay it on the next batten having first made sure that a Batten End Clip is nailed into position. 9. Engage a second Right Hand Verge Unit over the first, sliding upwards until it butts up against the bottom edge of the tile and firmly locks into position. Nail through an appropriate hole into the end of the batten through the Batten End Clip. 10. Repeat this process up the right hand verge to the ridge, then do the same on the opposite verge, this time using the Left Hand Verge Unit. 11. When the top Verge Units are in position, insert the Ridge Closures. There are separate left and right hand Ridge Closures. Ensure the combs are on the inside and facing towards the apex. The combs then interlock to produce a bird guard. 12. To finish off the verge at the apex, take the Ridge End Cap and fit it over the top of the ridge tile. Using the screws provided, screw into the Ridge End Cap through the desired blind nail holes and through the end of the ridge end batten. 13. If using the Klobber Uni-Dry Ridge System see appropriate fixing instructions provided. If all parameters are dry fix then cut off the spiggot on underside of the Ridge End Cap. |
